Basic instinct movie synopsis
Down-and-out detective Nick Curran, who is involved in a turbulent relationship with Beth Garner, a psychiatrist working for the San Francisco Police Department. Curran is investigating the case of the murder of the wealthy, former rock star, Johnny Boz who was brutally stabbed to death with an ice pick while having sex with a blonde woman. The only lead they have is Catherine Tramell, a successful and extremly wealthy crime writer last seen with Boz the night he died. Curran and fellow detective, Gus Moran (George travel to Tramell's Pacific Heights mansion, but they find only Roxy, Tramell's lesbian lover, is home. Roxy tells them Tramell is at her Stinson Beach beach house, and mentions that "she didn't do it, kill Johnny Boz". Curran and Moran go to the beach house to question Tramell, and find her on a deckchair by the ocean. The two policemen introduce themselves, and Tramell says to Curran "I know who you are". They ask her questions about her relationship with Boz, and, after specifying that they didn't date ("I wasn't dating him, I was fucking him") she shows very little remorse at hearing he is dead, rather displaying sadness over missing their sexual encounters than his presence.
Both Morran and Gus, along with their superiors, suspect Catherine is responsible for the murder of Boz when they discover that she has written a novel about a former rock star who was killed in the exact same way - tied to the bed with a white scarf and murdered with an ice-pick. After another confrontation with the detectives, Tramell agrees to go to police headquarters to be interviewed about the murder. During this interview, in the famous scene, she uncrosses her legs, revealing she is not wearing any underwear and exposing her genitalia, bringing discomfort and shock to the interrogators in the room, especially Curran, whom she continuously addresses by his first name, Nick. Later that night, Curran goes to a bar with several of his co-workers, and gets into a heated argument with Officer Nielsen, an Internal Affairs officer who has been a major source of problems for Nick throughout his career. Beth Garner then arrives, and she and Nick leave together. After they arrive at Beth's apartment, the two engage in extremly violent sex. Afterwards Nick decides to start smoking again, Beth tells him where some cigarettes are before curtly and angrily telling Nick to leave her apartment. In another suspicious development, Curran learns that Tramell's parents were both killed in an explosion on their boat when Tramell was an adolescent. Curran also learns that Tramell makes a habit out of befriending vicious murderers such as a woman who stabbed her husband and children to death. Curran finds out during a visit to Tramell's house that she knows things about him that are confidential. When Curran confronts Garner about this (the only person with access to that private information), she reluctantly tells Curran that, because Nielsen perceived Garner to be biased towards Curran, she gave Nielsen his file in order for Nielsen and other IA investigators to evaluate Curran directly (IA was seriously considering discharging Curran from the police force). Because of this, Curran assaults Nielsen in his office, accusing him of having sold his psychological profile to Tramell. Nielsen screams back "You're through!".
Later, Officer Nielsen is found in his car with a single gunshot from a .38 to the head, and Curran is perceived by many to be the prime suspect, due to their recent altercation. A torrid sexual affair then begins between Curran and Tramell, with an initial air of a cat-and-mouse game. Roxy, Catherine's lover attempts to kill Nick by running him over with Catherine's car but she ends up being killed herself. Curran, though on leave, continues to investigate on his own and discovers several facts which make Tramell seem more and more like the killer. However, he also uncovers facts about Dr. Garner which slowly throw suspicion on her. For instance, it turns out that Tramell and Garner had an affair while in college and each accuses the other of being obsessed with her. In addition, Curran learns that a psychology professor was murdered with an ice pick while both of the women were attending college and majoring in psychology. Curran's partner is lured to a building and murdered in the same way described in Tramell's new book. Curran, who was left waiting in the car, figures out there is trouble brewing but arrives too late to help his partner. However, Curran finds Beth at the scene and believing she murdered his partner and is going to shoot him, he shoots and kills her. It turns out she had only her keys in her hand and as she dies, she tells Curran she loves him. However, a subsequent examination of Beth's apartment supplies the incriminating evidence needed to brand her as the killer of both Boz and Gus (a .38 revolver, photos of the victims and of Tramell, an icepick, etc.). In the final scene of the film, Tramell and Curran make love, and afterwards when Nick's back is turned to her, Catherine slowly reaches under the bed. However, she then changes her mind and decides to instead make passionate love to Nick again. As the camera slowly pans down to show the underside of the bed, an ice-pick can be clearly seen lying on the floor.

Starship trooper movie synopsis
Starship Troopers 2 is an indirect sequel to the original Starship Troopers that went straight to video. Had it not featured the same bugs and the same helmets from the first Starship Troopers, you wouldn't be able to tell that this was even in the same universe. The focus of the movie was on a single event, that showed a sort of evolution of the war between the bugs and humans in the Starship Troopers universe. The particular event showed its significance because the bugs the humans were fighting against were using smaller bugs that took control of humans, inhabiting their brain, being able to spread like a virus from one to the other until there are no more humans left. Set on the future earth, Johnny rico is a young student dating a girl named Carmen. When Carmen decides to join the military in order to become a class citizen (citizenship is only achieved through serving your country), Johnny follows and joins as well. He soon realizes that he joined for the wrong reasons but just as he is about to quit, an asteroid that originated from the orbit of planet "klendathu" hits Buenos Aires (his home town) and kills his family.
Johnny and his fellow troopers set out to destroy the planet's inhabitants: a type of deadly and very large scaled space bugs. Through a seemingly ordinary action flick, director paul verhoeven creates a subtle anti-war theme, that shows us a fascist and military world far more frightening than WW2's Germany, Italy or Russia, the kind of world that is actually functioning. Forest Gump movie synopsis
The film begins with a feather falling to the feet of Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) who is sitting at a bus stop in Savannah, Georgia. Forrest picks up the feather and puts it in the book Curious George, then tells the story of his life to a woman seated next to him. The listeners at the bus stop change regularly throughout his narration, each showing a different attitude ranging from disbelief and indifference to rapt veneration.
On his first day of school, he meets a girl named Jenny (Robin Wright Penn), whose life is followed in parallel to Forrest's at times. Having discarded his leg braces, his ability to run at lightning speed gets him into college on a football scholarship. After his college graduation, he enlists in the army and is sent to Vietnam, where he makes fast friends with a black man named Bubba, who convinces Forrest to go into the shrimping business with him when the war is over. Later while on patrol, Forrest's platoon is attacked. Though Forrest rescues many of the men, Bubba is killed in action. Forrest is awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroism.
While Forrest is in recovery for a bullet shot to his "butt-tox", he discovers his uncanny ability for ping-pong, eventually gaining popularity and rising to celebrity status, later playing ping-pong competitively against Chinese teams. At an anti-war rally in Washington, D.C. Forrest reunites with Jenny, who has been living a hippie counterculture lifestyle.
Returning home, Forrest endorses a company that makes ping-pong paddles, earning himself $25,000, which he uses to buy a shrimping boat, fulfilling his promise to Bubba. His commanding officer from Vietnam, Lieutenant Dan, joins him. Though initially Forrest has little success, after finding his boat the only surviving boat in the area after Hurricane Carmen, he begins to pull in huge amounts of shrimp and uses it to buy an entire fleet of shrimp boats. Lt. Dan invests the money in Apple Computer and Forrest is financially secure for the rest of his life. He returns home to see his mother's last days.
One day, Jenny returns to visit Forrest and he proposes marriage to her. She declines, though feels obliged to prove her love to him by sleeping with him. She leaves early the next morning. On a whim, Forrest elects to go for a run. Seemingly capriciously, he decides to keep running across the country several times, over some three and a half years, becoming famous.
In present-day, Forrest reveals that he is waiting at the bus stop because he received a letter from Jenny who, having seen him run on television, asks him to visit her. Once he is reunited with Jenny, Forrest discovers she has a young son, of whom Forrest is the father. Jenny tells Forrest she is suffering from a virus (probably HIV, though this is never definitively stated). Together the three move back to Greenbow, Alabama. Jenny and Forrest finally marry. Jenny dies soon afterward.
The film ends with father and son waiting for the school bus on little Forrest's first day of school. Opening the book his son is taking to school, the white feather from the beginning of the movie is seen to fall from within the pages. As the bus pulls away, the white feather is caught on a breeze and drifts skyward.

Transformer hollywood movie
- Transformer movie synopsis
The movie opens with Optimus Prime narrating the history of the Cube, the Allspark, and how its origins were unknown, and where ever it traveled it created life, even on Cybertron.
Their society flourished, until they were betrayed by Megatron, and war erupted over the Allspark, which was eventually lost in space and ended up on an unknown planet, Earth.
Fast forward thousands of years to present day Earth, Qatar, to be exact, where American soldiers are stationed. They fly in to their base and go about the usual routine. Captain Lennox contacts his wife and gets to see his baby girl again, when a helicopter previously thought to have been shot down over Afghanistan comes up on the radar. It lands at the base and the military orders it to stand down, but instead it transforms into Blackout and proceeds to destroy the base. Blackout also lets out some kind of jamming field that blocks all communications channels. The Decepticon blasts his way through the base, only momentarily dazzled by flares shot at his face (which saves Tech Sergeant Epps, after Epps got scans of Blackout). Blackout tracks down the base's mainframe and proceeds to download info, until the humans cut the computer's hardline, terminating the network's connection. Blackout the destroys the base and everyone on it, save for a few who escape. Blackout then releases Scorponok into the sand to hunt down the survivors.
Back in America, we see Sam Witwicky supposedly doing a school report, but is instead hawking his grandfather's memorabilia for eBay sales. His grandfather, Archibald Witwicky was a famous 19th century explorer who tried to reach the Arctic circle, but later went crazy after he claimed to have found a giant man frozen in the Arctic ice. Sam's teacher is none too pleased at Sam's antics, but Sam manages to talk him into giving him an A, so that he can take his money and his A to his dad, Ron Witwicky, so he can buy a car. Initially Sam's dad teases him by driving into a Porche dealership, but when the joke's over he takes Sam to Bolivia's Used Car Sales, where Bobby Bolivia tries to sell Sam a car. As they drive up, though, and unmanned yellow Camaro drives up and parks itself in the lot.
Sam's not too pleased with his choices, until he sees the Camaro. It seems to be the best thing there. He and his dad just have $4000 dollars to spend, but Bobby asks for $5000 (even though he admits that he doesn't know what that car is doing on his lot). Ron tries to talk him down to 4 grand, but Bobby balks at that, and instead offers a Yellow VW Beetle for $4000. The Camaro's passenger door randomly swings open and crunches in the side of the beetle, so Bobby quickly tries to show them another car. A strange sonic pulse emanates from the Camaro, blowing out every windshield in the lot (save its own), and Bobby Bolivia quickly delivers up the Camaro for $4000.
In the Pentagon, Defense Secretary John Keller head up a team of computer analysts and scientists to try to determine who attacked them in Qatar. They've received no word from survivors and all they have to go on is the sound of the signal used to tap in and download sensitive information from the US Government's computer networks. Maggie Madsen heads one of their teams.
Sam takes his car out for a spin and they run across Mikaela Banes and the jock boys she hangs out with. First the jocks try to intimidate Sam, but Sam's witty comebacks regarding jock intelligence overcomes their male posturing. As Sam is ready to leave, Mikaela leaves the jocks angrily to walk home, so Sam kicks his friend out of the car and offers her a ride. She accepts, after Sam finishes his fumbling invitation. Everything seems cool until the car mysteriously stops working near a local make-out spot. The camaro also mysteriously cuts on the radio to play "Let's Get It On", much to Sam's shock. Mikaela, who is surprisingly mechanically inclined, takes a look under the hood and is impressed by the engine, but can't seem to see any problem past the distributor cap being loose. She decides to go ahead and finish the walk home. Sam begs for the car to start as she leaves and the car suddenly starts, and begins blasting the song "Baby Come Back". Sam spins the car around and gives Mikaela a ride home.
In Qatar, a local boy leads the surviving soldiers to his village, where they will be able to use a phone. The have no idea that they are being followed beneath the sand. Out of nowhere Scorponok attacks and begins killing the soldiers. Lennox manages to get a cellular phone, but needs a credit card to activate it, which he gets from Epps, as Epps tries to keep the Decepticon at bay. After dealing with an annoyingly humorous Arab operator, Lennox gets through to the military and gets an air strike ordered onto the village. They mark Scorponok with lasers and the A-10 Warthogs (reminiscent of Powerglide) bomb the hell out of the Decepticon. Scorponok flees beneath the sand after losing his tail. (They also later had helicopters that were the same model as Blades)
The Pentagon tries to alert the president, who is aboard Air Force One, but the aircraft has already been infiltrated. Frenzy hides beneath a passenger's seat, disguised as a boom box. He transforms and makes his way down to the plane's interior, where he finds the computer network. He accesses the mainframe and begins a massive download, focusing on facts about Archibald Witwicky, a secret government branch called "Sector 7" and their top secret "Project Iceman".
Maggie detects the intrusion and alerts the Pentagon, and convinces them to take the whole network offline to stop the download. The Pentagon is frantic to discover who is behind all of this, as the suspect that it could be Russia, North Korea or China. Maggie is warned to keep her imaginative ideas as to who is behind it to herself, so she make a copy of the strange signal and leaves for a friend's house. Air Force One lands and Frenzy escapes after killing several secret service agents, and hops into a waiting police car (which has a Decepticon sigil on its fender). Frenzy remarks to the car "The stupid insects tried to shoot me".
Later, Sam awakes to the sound of his car starting up. Fearing that it is being stolen he pursues the car to a local junkyard, and after dodging the guard dogs, see his Camaro transform into a giant robot. The robot, Bumblebee, sends a signal (in the shape of an Autobot sigil, into space. The cops arrive and arrest Sam, not believing him at all, thinking that he's probably on drugs.
Maggie takes the top secret file to her friend, Glen, who is "the only hacker in the world" that could break the code. He cracks the signal just before federal agents bust in and arrest them both.
Later after Sam is bailed out of jail, he sees that his car has returned. Terrified he flees on his mom's bicycle and is pursued by Bumblebee. He rides fast until he wrecks in front of Mikaela. He quickly takes off again, and Mikaela follows after him. Sam tries to hide from Bumblebee, and is relived when a police car rolls up. The Cop doesn't seem too responsive to Sam's pleas, and even threatens him with his car, which suddenly spouts several bladed weapons from the headlights and grill. Then the car transforms into Barricade. Barricade asks Sam if he is "Ladiesman217" (Sam's eBay ID) and Sam tries to escape. Sam runs into Mikaela and tells her that she needs to run, because a monster is after him, then she sees Barricade, too. Bumblebee drives up and the two reluctantly hop in and the car chase begins.
Bumblebee leads Barricade on a wild chase and gets the teens away from the Decepticon so that he can face off with Barricade. Barricade battles Bumblebee, but not before releasing Frenzy, who pursues the humans. Bumblebee and Barricade duke it out while Mikaela and Sam try to fend off the resourceful Frenzy. Eventually Mikaela uses a saws-all to cut off Frenzy's head, which flees in Waspinator fashion, just as Bumblebee leaves Barricade in a broken heap. Bumblebee beckons for the humans to come with him, and reveals through radio transmissions and songs that he's an alien and that he has sent a signal to his comrades for help. Unknownst to them all, Frenzy's head has scanned Mikaela's cell phone, and has transformed into it, hiding in her purse.
As they drive down the street, Mikaela asks "So, if he's supposed to be like this super-advanced robot, why does he transform back into this piece of crap Camaro". Bumblebee slams on his brakes and pushes the kids out. Sam remarks, "See, now you've upset him" as Bumblebee speeds away. Suddenly Bumblebee spins around and gets up on two wheels, and his undercarriage scans a passing car. Bumblebee shifts and changes into a new model Camaro, to Sam and Mikaela's amazement. They hop into Bumblebee and race away.
The feds interrogate Maggie and Glen, and they reveal that the signal pointed Project Iceman and the Witwicky's. Soon afterward Defense Secretary Keller calls them in for continued help. Elsewhere Epps and Lennox study Scorponok's tail and discover that high temperature rounds can hurt the robots.
Afterward several "meteors" fall from the sky. Autobots come out of the stasis pods and scan for vehicular forms. Most notably Ironhide lands in a swimming pool, and the little girl who sees him asks if he's the tooth fairy. Bumblebee leads the two humans to their meeting place, where they are introduced to Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Jazz and Ironhide. Optimus Prime tells them about the Allspark and how Megatron searched the Galaxy for it and was lost. He explained how Sam's grandfather discovered Megatron frozen in the ice and accidentally activated Megatron's navigational system, which imprinted Cybertronian script onto his eyeglasses. That script revealed the secret location of the Allspark and its recovery was of the gravest importance, because the Decepticons could use it to give life to Earth's machines, creating a new army of Decepticons, and causing humanity to go extinct.
Sam leads them back to his home where the Autobots accidentally trample his yard and demolish the lawn decorations. Sam finally finds the glasses with his mother's help (after his mother has an embarrassing discussion in front of Mikaela concerning Sam's masturbation habits). Sam gets the glasses to Optimus Prime, just before Sector 7 swoops in and arrests Sam and Mikaela. The Sector 7 operatives try to coerce info about the aliens from Sam and Mikaela, until Optimus Prime opens the agents' car like a tuna can and forces them to release the kids. The Autobots surround them and allow the kids to handcuff the agents all together, after Bumblebee pops off what looks like his oil filter and essentially urinates lubricant on Agent Simmons. Optimus notes that Simmons is neither afraid nor surprised to see the Autobots.
The agents secretly alert the military who try to track down Optimus Prime and the kids, while the other Autobots split up. Bumblebee is discovered trying to save the kids after they fall off of the hidden Optimus, and is captured by the government, along with Sam and Mikaela. Sam, Mikaela, Maggie, Glen and the captive Bumblebee are all taken by Sector 7 and Keller to Sector 7's secret base, deep within Hoover Dam, where they are shown "Project Iceman", the frozen form of Megatron. Sam tries to warn them about Megatron, and catches their attention when he mentions the cube-shaped Allspark.
It turns out that all modern tech was reverse engineered from Megatron's body, and that the Allpsark could give that technology life, though it usually proved to be violent and destructive to organics when life was given to it. They demonstrate by infusing Glenn's cell phone with the Allspark's energy, and the phone transforms into a tiny robot who viciously tries to attack the humans. Frenzy sneaks out of Mikaela's purse and touches the Allspark, regenerating his body, and he sends out a signal, telling the other Decepticons that the Allspark has been found. Around the world different Decepticons respond: Starscream, Barricade, Bonecrusher, Blackout and Devastator all converge on Hoover Dam. Elsewhere the Autobots decipher the Allpark's location and also head to the Dam. Optimus states that if they cannot win that he will sacrifice himself by absorbing the Allspark into his own spark, destroying the artifact and himself as well.
Frenzy sabotages the cryo controls that keep Megatron frozen, and the Decepticon leader begins to wake up. Sam convinces Keller, with some help from Lennox, that Bumblebee is no threat and will in fact help them against Megatron. Bumblebee is reactivated and he transforms the Allspark into a more portable form. They then proceed to escape from the Dam and make their stand in a nearby town. Megatron breaks free and is greeted by Starscream, who reports that the Autobots have fled with the Allspark. Megatron remarks, "You have failed me, yet again, Starscream".
The Autobots encounter Bonecrusher on the highway, flanked by Barricade, and Optimus takes Bonecrusher on. The two are carried over a high overpass and battle ensues below. Bonecrusher seems to be a powerful warrior, but Optimus proves to be his better and kills the Decepticon with a long sword blade from his arm.
The Military and the Autobots try to set up defenses in the town, but that is soon disrupted by Megatron's arrival. Devastator and Blackout lay waste to different parts of the town, as they battle Ironhide and Ratchet. Bumblebee is wounded, having both his legs destroyed, as well.
Lennox calls in air support, but most of the jets are shot down by Starscream. Lennox then orders Sam to take the Allspark and take it to the highest building and use a signal flare to attract and escape upon evac helicopters. The Autobots try to run defense to protect Sam. Jazz takes on Megatron and is quickly killed by easily being ripped in two. Along the way Sam accidentally releases a burst to the Allspark's energy, which gives life to many nearby machines, (including a car and a Mountain Dew machine) who then attack any humans within reach.
Finally Optimus Prime shows up declaring to Megatron that "one shall stand, one shall fall", and the two behemoths battle. Megatron overcomes Optimus and continues pursuing Sam. Atop the building Sam almost makes it to the helicopter, but it is destroyed before he can give them the cube. Megatron offers Sam the opportunity to survive as his pet if he would hand over the Allspark. Sam refuses and Megatron attacks, causing Sam to fall off of the building. Optimus catches Sam, saving the boy and the Allspark.
On the ground he and Megatron square off again. Elsewhere Mikaela chains the legless Bumblebee to a tow truck and pulls him through the battle field, allowing the Autobot for shoot while she drives. They, with the help of Ratchet, Ironhide, Lennox and Epps take out Devastator and Blackout.
The battle reaches its climax, and Optimus asks Sam to release the Allspark into his chest, , but Sam turns and releases it into Megatron's chest, killing the Decepticon leader. Optimus stands over Megatron, and looks into his fading optics and laments for his "brother".
In the aftermath Bumblebee regains his ability to speak and asks that he might remain with Sam. Sector 7 is dismantled, and all of the Decepticon bodies are dumped into the sea, where the cold and pressure should keep them from ever being retrieved.
Optimus Prime laments that the Allspark was destroyed, dashing any hopes of revitalizing Cybertron, so he instead broadcasts an invitation to any Autobots left to come make Earth their new home.
Then the credits roll.
During the credits it flashes back to a scene of Starscream flying up and out of Earth's atmosphere and rocketing into space...

300 Movie synopsis
Spartan customs are harsh. The Spartans inspect each infant born to ensure it is whole - if it is defective, the baby is destroyed. They raise their boys in the school of hard knocks - in combat training, a small boy's loss of his weapon earns a bloody lip from the hand of his own father. At age 7, each young boy is torn from his mother and makes his own way in the wilderness, to return a man. Even the King endures this rite of passage. At age 15, young King-to-be Leonidas (Tyler Neitzel) lures a wolf into a narrow passage so that he can kill it. He returns home to be crowned King.
Years later, messengers visit King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) requesting Sparta's submission to King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). Insulted by their attitude, King Leonidas kicks the messengers into a well. Acknowledging the threat of Xerxes's invasion force, he visits the Ephors (priests) to obtain their favour before sending the Spartan army in battle. He proposes to repel the numerically superior enemy by using the terrain of the Hot Gates of Thermopylae, funneling the Persians into a narrow pass between the rocks and the sea. The Ephors, wary of the plan, consult the Oracle (Kelly Craig). In her drugged trance she decrees that Sparta must not go to war, lest they interrupt the sacred Carneian festival. Leonidas departs in anger, and the priests receive their bribe of Xerxes' gold from the Spartan traitor, Theron (Dominic West), for their negative response.
Leonidas is reluctant to defy the corrupt clergy outright, but his wife (Lena Headey) encourages him to think outside the box. Leonidas elects to take 300 of his best soldiers as his "bodyguard" on a leisurely walk to the strategic Hot Gates location. His wife says goodbye, telling him to come back with his shield or on it, and gives him a necklace.
On the road they meet some allies, who are shocked that the Spartans are sending such a small force. Leonidas asks the professions of the allied army, who are craftsmen and artisans. He points out that he has brought more soldiers than they. Joined by Arcadians and other Greeks, they arrive at the Hot Gates of Thermopylae. In sight of the approaching Persian army, they construct a wall to contain the Persians' advance. Strong storms destroy some of Xerxes fleet, but it is only a small percentage of the massive army they will face.
A horribly disfigured man, Ephialtes (Andrew Tiernan), comes to see Leonidas to warn him of the goat path at the rear of his position. Ephialtes claims that his parents fled Sparta at his birth to save his life. He hopes to redeem them by fighting for Leonidas. Leonidas explains that each Spartan warrior is a key part of the phalanx, and asks Ephialtes to show that he can lift his shield high enough to properly defend his fellow warriors. When it becomes evident that he cannot, Leonidas gently tells him to care for the fallen instead. Ephialtes' fondest hopes are crushed.
A Persian emissary arrives, and finds that the bodies of the previous scouting party now make up part of the large rock wall. The Persian states that their arrows will blot out the sun, and the Spartans agree they will simply fight in the shade. The emissary's party is killed.
Prior to the battle the Persians demand that the Spartans drop their arms and surrender. Leonidas refuses and challenges the Persians to come and take their weapons from them. With their tightly-knit phalanx formation, the Spartans funnel the Persians into the narrow terrain, repeatedly rebuffing them and inflicting heavy casualties.
Xerxes, impressed with Spartan fighting skill, personally approaches Leonidas to persuade him to surrender. He promises Leonidas wealth and power in exchange for his loyalty. Leonidas declines, promising instead to make the "God King" bleed, and turns to rejoin his army.
Dismayed at the refusal, Xerxes sends his masked personal guard, "The Immortals", which name the Spartans also prove false. The battles continue, with the Spartans prevailing over soldiers and animals drawn from the vast reaches of the Persian empire: from Mongolian barbarians and Eastern chemists to African rhinoceroses and Indian war elephants. However, some of the brave Spartan warriors are killed, and it becomes clear that more will follow.
Ephialtes goes to Xerxes, and agrees to show the goat path to the Persians in exchange for a uniform, along with promises of women and wealth.
Back in Sparta, Queen Gorgo has been trying to convince the council to send help to Leonidas. A friendly councilman arranges for her to speak, but explains that she will need Theron on her side. Theron agrees to help her if she will sleep with him - so she does.
At the Hot Gates, the Spartans learn they have been betrayed, and know their fight is doomed. The Arcadians retreat in the face of certain death. The Spartans refuse to follow. Leonidas orders a reluctant Dilios to return to Sparta and tell of their inevitable deaths.
In Sparta, Queen Gorgo makes her appeal to the council. Instead of supporting her as promised, Theron betrays her, accusing her of adultery. Enraged, Gorgo snatches a sword and stabs Theron, rupturing a bag of gold in the folds of his robe. As the coins stamped with Persian markings spill onto the ground, the Council realizes Theron's treachery and agree to unite against Persia.
At the Hot Gates, as the Persians surround the Spartans, Xerxes's general demands their surrender, declaring that Leonidas may keep his title as King of Sparta and become Warlord of all Greece, answerable only to Xerxes. Ephialtes urges this as well, to which Leonidas remarks, "May you live forever," an insult from a culture valuing death and valor in battle. Leonidas drops his shield and removes his helmet, seemingly bowing in submission. Stelios then leaps over him and kills the general. A furious Xerxes orders his troops to attack. As Persian archers shoot the remaining Spartans, Leonidas rises and hurls his spear at Xerxes, ripping open his cheek, thus making "the God-King bleed." Xerxes, visibly shaken by this reminder of his own mortality, watches as the remaining Spartans perish beneath the combined might of his army.
Concluding his tale before an audience of attentive Spartans, Dilios declares that the 120,000-strong Persian army that narrowly defeated 300 Spartans now faces 10,000 Spartans commanding 30,000 Greeks. Praising Leonidas's sacrifice, Dilios leads the assembled Greek army into a fierce charge against the Persian army, igniting the Battle of Plataea.

Residen Evil 3 - Extinction (2007)
Residen Evil 3 - Extinction
- Synopsis Residen Evil 3 - Extinction movie
The movie opens with Alice (Milla Jovovich), the hero from the last two films, waking up in a shower. She looks around confused and frightened, realizing that she's somehow back in the Spencer Estate where everything started. She slowly gets out of the shower and puts the dress laid on the bed on. She exits the bedroom into a hallway and looks around with the distinct feeling of being hunted. She finds her way into the laser room from the first movie, and just before getting cubed she leaps into a vent, crawls through, and drops into....a hospital corridor. The halls are eerily empty, and Alice stumbles. She grabs a nearby rolling bed to steady herself on, but the bed is promptly cut in two by a giant guillotine (think the blades from that one scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). She smiles grimly and picks her way past the blade only to get gunned down by a second trap that springs out of the floor and fires bullets in every direction. As her body lies there, three Umbrella scientists approach. One of them, Dr. Issacs (Iain Glen), tells the others to take a blood sample of that and get rid of it, which they do by throwing it in an outdoor pit filled with dead Alices. As the scientists do so, we see that this whole facility is but one small part of a giant underground base of the Umbrella Corporation, somewhere in the North American west.
Now Alice -- the real one -- gives us an update. She tells us that although Umbrella thought Raccoon City was an isolated incident, it soon spread. Within weeks, the T-Virus had spread to the entire North American continent, and within months, the world. It affected everything, killing nearly all plant life and turning the world into a desert. Oceans receded, and lakes and rivers dried up. Humanity was forced to evacuate the cities and stay constantly on the move in order to survive...
We pick up with Alice heading into Salt "Lake" City on her motorcycle, hearing a broadcast from a radio station that claims to have survivors. She stops outside, takes out her twin machetes, and heads in. The place is zombie-free (so you KNOW it's fiction!), and someone is weeping in back. Alice finds an old lady there who says that her baby is hurtin', and Alice looks to see....a dead baby. She drops the corpse and is suddenly attacked by all five residents of the station, who were playing that distress call just to lure other people in and steal their stuff. They throw Alice in a pit lined with cages for zombie dogs and let 'em loose. Alice does some acrobatics and kills two of the dogs and chains the rest up. Unfortunately, the dogs aren't stopping, so they end up pulling the supports loose and collapsing the floor above, causing their owners to fall into the pit and become kibble as Alice makes a quick escape, pausing only long enough to pick up her weapons on the way out.
Meanwhile, over in Nevada, we see a giant convoy crossing the desert--
IT'S THE RESIDENT EVIL SURVIVOR ROUNDUP! MEET CARLOS (Oded Fehr), THE TOUGH SOUTH AMERICAN WITH A HEART OF GOLD! THEN THERE'S BETTY (Ashanti) AND LJ (Mike Epps), THE CUTE BLACK COUPLE! UP NEXT IS CHASE (Linden Ashby), THE WISECRACKING TEXAN SHARPSHOOTER -- GOTTA LOVE HIM! ALSO ALONG FOR THE RIDE IS MIKEY (Christopher Egan), OUR LOVABLE HAM RADIO DUDE! ALL-AROUND NICE GUY OTTO (Joe Hursley), BUSY FIXING UP THE GRUB AND TAKING CARE OF THE CARS! DON'T FORGET THE BRILLIANT BOSS-LADY, CLAIRE REDFIELD (Ali Larter) AND OUR LOVABLY CUTE NEWEST ADDITION, K-MART (Spencer Locke)
--while pumping classic rock (specifically, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida") out of their PA system. There is some bantering back and forth across the CBs about cigarettes and Carlos's constant yearning for one, and there's an easy sense of familiarity and camaraderie among all the players. Over in Umbrella's North American HQ, though, things aren't so chipper. Issacs is coming under fire form his boss, Chairman Albert Wesker (sigh....oh, and, Jason O'Mara) for not having a cure. Although other points are discussed, Issacs says that he needs the original Project: Alice to create a cure since none of the other 86 clones have proven viable. Wesker bluntly tells him that he's got a week and ends the meeting, fading out of existence (communication through holograms....ain't the five-year future great?). Meanwhile, Alice is pulling up to a gas station for her bike, but the pumps aren't working. She heads inside and, after a brief encounter with a bunch of flies and a corpse, finds a journal with a bunch of transmission dates and locations inside, including the words, "Alaska safe?" As she heads back out with the journal, she sees a crow with a funny-looking eye watching her and hears a radio broadcast from Mikey identifying the convoy and their location....
...at a strip motel. The exterior is safe, and Carlos and LJ go inside to check things out. Carlos clears the front office as LJ does the rooms, all of which are locked tight....except for one with a busted lock. LJ heads inside and peeps around, but a zombie gets the drop on him. After a tussle, he shoots it....deader....and takes a breather before seeing another in the distance. As it rushes towards him, he fires and...hits the mirror. He turns quickly and the zombie woman is on him. He struggles, but she gets him in the chest (right lung area) just as Carlos comes in. Betty checks him out and pronounces him fine as Carlos walks away trying not to puke. The two flirt and Betty leaves. LJ sighs as he stares after her, and then pulls his shirt back to see the ugly looking bite souvenir the zombie left him...
That night, we see Carlos setting up the last of some surveillance monitors for Mikey as Otto hands out one can of dinner to everyone, including two for Betty (one's for LJ though, so it's cool). Later, we see Claire and Carlos talking, and it's pretty obvious that Claire is growing tired of moving around all the time. Elsewhere, Alice is fitfully sleeping in the desert as she dreams about her latest dupe being killed. As she does, she accidentally starts levitating everything around her with telekinesis (Jean Grey in X-Men) until she wakes up, at which point everything falls back down....including her bike, which is wrecked. As she sighs and reluctantly decides that her only choice now is to meet up with that convoy, we cut to Dr. Issacs in his lab, where the White Queen holographic computer model (Madeline Carroll, probably no relation) informs him that a burst of psionic activity was just detected in the Nevada desert. He realizes that this could mean Alice, but before he can do anything his immediate superior, a man named Slater (Matthew Marsden) comes in. The two squabble about company policy and the readiness of Clone Number 87, and Slater leaves, having asserted himself. Beaten, Issacs goes over to a test section where they have a zombie chained up that has been injected with some of Alice's blood. Remarkably, the thing is quite adept, recognizing the cell phone and taking a picture of the two lab assistants with a camera. As the assistants start congratulating Issacs, though, the zombie becomes frustrated at a shape-recognition test, breaks free, and attacks the assistants a quicker Issacs locked in with it. As he watches the slaughter, he gets a look on his face that is best interpreted as, "Well....I feel better now."
The next day dawns, and we see Alice walking through the desert. Meanwhile, K-Mart wakes up from a nightmare and hears...something. She wakes up Claire, and they see enough crows to give Alfred Hitchcock bad dreams. Claire quietly radios everyone to pack up and leave as quickly and quietly as possible. The crows ignore the movement and the engines...but than a kid on the school bus drops his can, and the game is on. The crows attack everyone nonstop, and lots of people get killed, including Otto and Betty. At one point, the bus ends up crashing, and the crows gather around it. Claire and Carlos get something set up that gets some kids transferred to Mikey's van, but a few others fall off, including one that gets separated, and as Claire and LJ run for her shooting guns at the crows and Chase mans a giant flamethrower to create a bunch of crispy critters, Carlos reaches the runner and covers her with his body as the flames.....stop five feet short of him. Wondering why he isn't burning, he looks up....and sees Alice, staring down the fire while projecting a psychic bubble to keep them safe. The last of the crows gets burned, and Alice releases the bubble. As everyone else, including Claire, gathers round, Carlos and Alice hug at the joy of seeing each other again.
Over with Issacs, he gets visited by Slater just as 87 is going through the test routine. As she gets chowed on by one of the super-smart zombies, Issacs shows to Slater a whole group of about a dozen smart-zombies just waiting for release and says that the serum derived so far is actually making them stronger. At that moment, the White Queen informs Isscas of another burst of psionic activity in the desert and says that there is a sixty-two percent chance that it's Alice -- too great to pass up, in his opinion, although Slater says that Wesker won't approve. Meanwhile, Alice wakes up in a tent and finds herself being observed by K-Mart, who when asked says that that's where they found her and since she didn't like her other name much and everyone else she knew was dead, that's what she's called. Carlos greets her again and takes her outside, where the convoy survivors have just finished burying their dead. He introduces her to Claire and the two get along, although there is some tension between them. After a while, Alice tells the main bosses (everyone who's been given a name) about Alaska, and since Claire feels it's too big for her to decide, she has the group vote, and it's pretty much unanimous. Unfortunately, this means they have to go somewhere and stop for gas, and the nearest place that would have enough is Las Vegas. That night, as most of the group sleeps and LJ picks at his ever-worsening bite, Alice flips through the journal and comes to a page that says, "Keep on laughing. Keep on living. Keep on loving." She pauses and gets a dreamy look in her eye. Meanwhile, Issacs is in a meeting with Wesker to try and get some troops to move on the Alice situation, but Wesker will have none of it, ordering Issacs to continue with the cure research. However, Issacs managed to record some of their conversation, and uses a dupe of Wesker's voice to authorize the release of troops.
The next morning, everyone starts heading for Vegas. On the way, Chase comments to LJ how he isn't looking too hot, but LJ just brushes it off. They pull into Vegas, but the entire city is buried under massive sand drifts. As Chase takes up a lookout position on a copy of the Eiffel Tower, the rest disembark to move some giant crate that's blocking the way. Suddenly, a bunch of smart-zombies burst out and proceed to tear into everyone. Chase manages to hold some off, but he ends up having to help this one girl climb up to his position, only the zombies end up biting him and he throws everybody off the tower. LJ and K-Mart take refuge in a van where she wields a shotgun pretty good, but LJ soon turns and is forced to be put down by Carlos, who himself gets bitten by LJ. Mikey is separated and eaten at some point as an anguished Claire watches as she tries to save him. As for Alice, she is slicing and dicing like crazy when suddenly a nearby rooftop team of Umbrella techs, including Issacs, shuts her down. Unfortunately for them, she fights the command, wakes back up, and leads a bunch of zombies to them. Issacs boards a helicopter and escapes, but not before getting bit. Alice puts the last zombie down and holds her guns on the copter, but doesn't shoot. Issacs, for his part, is placed under house arrest as soon as he arrives back. Slater strides up to him to see that he's injected himself with about ten vials of his serum and informs him that he's fired by way of gun. Issacs falls, but then gets right back up and inserts a bunch of tentacles into Slater's face (what the...).
A little while later, Carlos, K-Mart, Claire, and Alice have tracked the copter to the hidden base, and Carlos volunteers for a suicide mission wherein he drives a large fuel truck into the midst of the thousands of zombies piled against the fence and blows it up with a smile on his face. Alice, K-Mart, Claire, and the remaining kids drive through the wreckage and as Alice gets everyone loaded onto a helicopter, she throws the journal at K-Mart and says, "Take care of them." She shares a look with Claire and the group is off. Alice heads inside, passing the rejected hers and nearly throwing up, and heads down into the complex, which is now a massive ruin. As she pokes around, the White Queen appears before her, identifying herself. Alice just smiles and says, "Yeah, I knew your sister....she was a homicidal bitch." The White Queen explains that Issacs is contained on the lower levels and that Alice's blood can be used to synthesize a permanent cure for the T-Virus. She then opens up an elevator, wishes Alice luck, and sends her down to the labs. Upon her arrival, Alice sees number 88 resting in a stasis bubble and nearing completion. The bubble bursts as Alice touches it and 88 sits up, gasping and looking at Alice in confusion just before falling unconscious. Saddened at her death, Alice takes off her coat and covers the clone with it just as a heavily mutated Issacs leaps out. They fight each other into the mansion area with Alice barely holding him off with a psionic bubble. Eventually they end up in the laser room with Issacs proclaiming himself the future, and Alice just laughs and says that their both about to die. The cube sequence starts, and Issacs gets cubed, but just before the lazers take Alice they stop advancing and the room shuts down. Back in the lab, 88 -- who is apparently less dead than previously thought -- just stares at the screen, shuts down the system, and says, "Yeah, you're the future all right....asshole."
Miles away, in Tokyo, Wesker is holding another meeting from his branch of Umbrella. He informs the other directors that the North American facility is compromised, and all of its research will now be under his direct supervision. He declares that finding and bringing in Alice is now their number one priority when suddenly Alice appears as a hologram and warns them that she's coming for them, and that she'll be bringing a few friends of hers along. She signs off and walks over to a window where 88 is waiting. The two look at each other and then gaze out in wonder over the vast field of backup Alices, all of which are waking up and looking extremely hungry for battle...
