Synopsis Angels & Demons movie

Famed Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), is summoned to analyze a mysterious symbol burned into the chest of Leonardo Vetra, a murdered physicist. With the assistance of Vetra’s adopted daughter Vittoria (Ayelet Zurer, "Vantage Point");

Langdon discovers evidence of the rebirth of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati, a powerful underground anti-religious organization. Together, both embark on an action-packed hunt through crypts, catacombs and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, following a 400-year-old trail of symbols that mark the Vatican’s only hope for survival.

Ahli simbol dari Harvard yang sudah kondang, Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), diperintahkan untuk menganalisa luka bakar berbentuk simbol misterius yang ditemukan di dada Leonardo Vetra, seorang ahli fisika. Dengan bantuan putri angkat Vetra yang bernama Vittoria (Ayelet Zurer, "Vantage Point").

Langdon menemukan bukti-bukti bangkitnya kembali sebuah persekutuan dari jaman kuno bernama The Illuminati, sebuah organisasi bawah tanah yang penuh misteri dan sangat berkuasa. Bersama Vittoria, Langdon mengalami petualangan penuh aksi memecahkan teka-teki, menyusuri makam bawah tanah, bahkan ke gua-gua tersembunyi di perut bumi, menelusuri jejak simbol berusia 400 tahun, satu-satunya harapan Vatikan untuk bisa bertahan.
