Saat konser Chipmunk berlangsung, David Seville (Jason Lee) mengalami kecelakaan dan dirawat di rumah sakit. Ia harus dirawat  beberapa hari. Selama masa itu, ia telah menjadwalkan Alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler), and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) untuk bersekolah.
